Having lived the majority of my life in Utah, I have not been immune to the local past times. Quite often I can be found in the mountains skiing, hiking, or fishing. The accessibility of the mountains makes for tons of adventures and time in the great outdoors. I have recently taken quite the leap and started skydiving in hopes of getting my solo license. However, I can also be found spending countless hours indoors learning a new programming language, reading math texts, or indulging my child-like creativity with Legos. Depending on the day, I will be inside all day at my desk or lost in the mountains, you just never know what flavor you will get.
I have (almost) always enjoyed mathematics and been fascinated by how technical machines work and the theory behind them. My love of Legos and mathematics merged when I entered college and started a degree in engineering. After a year however, I realized that the mathematics in engineering appealed to me more than the other courses. This lead to me changing my degree to mathematics where I have been thriving since.
